I love what these guys are doing, but… as a mere recreational cyclist, if I ever spend $4000 on a bicycle, shoot me - because I’ll have obviously forfeited my subscription to Common Sense.
My 1996 Trek 470 Fast Track is holding up beautifully, and while it might be far from fast, it’s also far from slow.
This bike, and those of its ilk, are made for other folk, that’s for sure. They have their place, and they’re worth every penny, but there’s no way in hell I could justify that sort of cash on this sort of thing.
